Nakhon Si Thammarat — The School of Pharmacy at Walailak University is pleased to announce the appointment of Lecturer Pharm.D. Thanruthai Boonrit as a new faculty member in the Department of Pharmaceutical Care.
As a distinguished alumna of the school, Miss Boonrit (popularly known as Ajarn Nam) returns to her alma mater to contribute her academic expertise and research experience to shaping the next generation of pharmacists.
Academic Background and Clinical Research Excellence
Miss Boonrit graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree, specializing in Pharmaceutical Care, from the School of Pharmacy, Walailak University.
During her undergraduate studies, she demonstrated a strong commitment to clinical research, spearheading a significant study addressing critical challenges in infectious diseases and antibiotic resistance. Her research project, titled “The Study of Efficacy and Safety of Intravenous Fosfomycin-Containing Regimens in Multidrug-Resistant Gram-Negative Bacteria in a Tertiary Hospital in Southern Thailand,” evaluated critical therapeutic outcomes and safety profiles in treating severe drug-resistant infections within the region.
Strengthening the Department of Pharmaceutical Care
In her new role as a faculty member, Miss Boonrit will be actively involved in teaching, mentoring, and conducting research within the Department of Pharmaceutical Care. Her clinical insights and background in evidence-based pharmacy practice will further strengthen the school’s academic curriculum and research output.
