A monumental moment of pride for the School of Pharmacy at Walailak University! Thanames Wattanasathitchot, a 5th-year Pharmacy student, has successfully secured his spot as one of the elite 16 youth representatives chosen from 147 candidates nationwide. He recently stepped onto the national stage at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) landmark event, “U–Future Connect: Youth Forum 2026.”
The forum acts as a dynamic platform dedicated to amplifying the “voices of the new generation” as the core stakeholders in the higher education ecosystem. Thanames engaged in exclusive brainstorming sessions and exchanged visionary ideas with top university executives, policymakers, and leading experts. The insights generated by the youth will directly contribute to shaping the future direction of Thai higher education, tackling four highly anticipated topics:
-
Thai Higher Education Curricula in the Next Century: Redefining what it takes to thrive in the world of tomorrow.
-
AI Literacy: Equipping students with crucial artificial intelligence skills for life and work.
-
Gen Z-Resonating Teaching Models: Transforming classrooms into engaging, high-impact learning spaces that truly connect with modern learners.
-
Students as Co-creators of Thailand’s Future: Empowering youth perspectives toward others, local communities, society, and the global stage.
Thanames’s outstanding achievement is a brilliant testament to the potential and readiness of Walailak University students. It proves that today’s youth are not just passive learners, but the driving force behind the progressive transformation of Thailand’s educational future!
