Lecturers from Walailak University School of Pharmacy Present Research at the 10th SHCP Conference at the University of San Carlos, the Philippines

Cebu, Philippines – On the 20th of March 2024, the University of San Carlos- School of Health Care Professions and School of Pharmacy, Walailak University co-organized the 10th SHCP International Research Conference. at Talamban Campus, Cebu City This year’s conference theme –  “Unveiling Scientific Contributions: A Decade of Collaborative Advancements in Research and Education”.  The research conference is a platform for sharing groundbreaking research and promoting collaborative approaches in the area of health care. 

At this conference, two lecturers from the School of Pharmacy, Walailak University shared their research findings and health care experiences. Asst.Prof.Dr.Suriyon Uitrakul as keynote speaker gave a presentation on “Colistin-induced nephrotoxicity: What should be focused?”. Dr. Nichakarn Apiromrak gave a presentation on “The Role of a Nutrition Support Pharmacists in Thailand”. 

The presentation by Dr. Uitrakul and Dr. Apiromrak sparked discussions among attendees, including healthcare professionals, students, researchers, scholars, and academicians in addressing global health challenges. Their collaborative approach and interdisciplinary insights underscored the importance of partnerships in driving meaningful advancements in healthcare practices.

The research exchange at the conference is a part of the collaborations between the School of Pharmacy, Walailak University, and the School of Health Care Professions, University of San Carlos to strengthen the research and academic growth between the two academic partners.
