Lecturer, School of Pharmacy Received praise for his oral academic presentation at the 29th The Federation of Asian Pharmaceutical Association (FAPA) Congress: Health Systems Resilience, security, and equity: Pharmacists can help in Taipei, Taiwan.

Last week, Dr. Tanavij Pannoi, staff of the Pharmaceutical Care Department, School of Pharmacy, Walailak University attended an academic conference and presented academic work orally on the topic “Proton Pump Inhibitors Utilization among Patients in Thai Hospital-based Cohorts from 2010 to 2017” in 29th The Federation of Asian Pharmaceutical Association (FAPA) Congress: Health systems resilience, security and equity: Pharmacists can help, during 25 – 28 October 2023 at The Taipei International Convention Center (TICC), Taipei, Taiwan. By this presentation, the modulator and participants give him an appreciation. This research reflected on the role of pharmacists and drug prescribers in evaluating the prescribing of proton-pump inhibitors, especially in the elderly and patients with risk factors for heart disease whether it is necessary to receive such medicine or not to prevent long-term risks.

In addition, Dr. Tanavij Pannoi had the opportunity to visit the Pharmacy Department of Veteran General Hospital, Taipei, where he had preliminary discussions about cooperation between the School of Pharmacy, Walailak University, and the Pharmacy Department of Veteran General Hospital.
