On August 24, 2026, the Research Center, School of Pharmacy, Walailak University, successfully hosted the first session of the Joint Online Research Seminar Series in collaboration with the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Toho University, Japan.
The event commenced with warm opening remarks delivered by Prof. Shusuke Tada, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Toho University, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Namfa Sermkaew, Head of the Research Center, School of Pharmacy, Walailak University. Both leaders underscored their strong shared commitment to advancing international academic exchange and fostering institutional partnerships.
The academic session featured cutting-edge presentations from distinguished researchers:

Asst. Prof. Dr. Nuttapon Songnaka (Walailak University) shared insights into computational pharmacy, molecular dynamics simulations, and bioinformatics.

Dr. Kouharu Otsuki (Toho University) presented specialized research on the rapid structural characterization of secondary metabolites in natural medicine using LC-HR-MS/MS.
Following the presentations, researchers and faculty members from both universities engaged in an active discussion and research-matching session. The dialogue identified common research interests and laid a solid foundation for future joint research projects, collaborative publications, and sustained academic exchange between the two institutions.
