As Walailak University has issued an official announcement regarding the policy on prohibiting the use of foam food containers and reducing or eliminating the use of plastic within the university, implementing these guidelines will commence on January 1, 2025. This initiative aims to reduce waste at its source based on the 3Rs principle: Reduce waste generation, Reuse materials, and Reject waste creation. It also seeks to promote a green university and align its development with the principles of sustainable development, particularly in reducing plastic usage and waste management, per the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This effort relies on the collaboration of all stakeholders within the university.
