On August 31, 2026, the School of Pharmacy, Walailak University, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Chaweewan Klongsirivet, Acting Dean, together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Siranee Yongpraderm, Head of the Pharmaceutical Care Division, and Dr. Siddhibhong Jongkraijakra, Coordinator of the Short Course Certificate Program, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for academic collaboration with Phatthalung Hospital, Phatthalung Province. Dr. Suthirak Buakaew, Director of Phatthalung Hospital, and the hospital’s executive committee warmly welcomed the delegation.
This strategic partnership focuses on three key objectives:

Strengthening Professional Practice Sites: Enhancing the hospital’s capacity and readiness as a clinical training site for undergraduate, postgraduate, and short-course pharmacy students.

Advancing Hospital Pharmacy and Medication Systems: Upgrading hospital pharmacy workflows and medication management systems to ensure maximum safety and efficiency.

Human Resource Development and Research: Facilitating knowledge management, academic conferences, joint research projects, and preceptor development programs for practicing hospital pharmacists.
This collaboration marks a significant milestone in integrating academic excellence with real-world healthcare practice, reinforcing the quality of pharmaceutical education, and bolstering the regional healthcare system in Southern Thailand.
