Walailak University School of Pharmacy Welcomes New Faculty Member “Ms. Thanyamai Thongin” joins the Pre-clinical Program, strengthening expertise in Industrial Pharmacy and Microbiology

The School of Pharmacy, Walailak University, is delighted to welcome Ms. Thanyamai Thongin (Aj. Way) as a new lecturer in the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) Program, Pre-clinical track.

Ms. Thanyamai is an alumna of Walailak University, where she earned both her Bachelor of Pharmacy (2016–2023) and Master of Science in Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Innovation (2023–2025).

Her academic research reflects strong expertise in pharmaceutical sciences, with a notable publication in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences (2025) entitled “Synergistic antimicrobial activity of BrSPR20-P1 peptide and silver nanoparticles against pathogenic bacteria.” This work highlights her research strength in industrial pharmacy and microbiology.

She also brings extensive teaching experience, having served as a teaching assistant in key courses such as Pharmaceutical Analysis Laboratory, Pharmaceutical Quality Control Laboratory, and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology Laboratory, with more than 150 hours of laboratory instruction.

In addition to academic contributions, Ms. Thanyamai has experience in community pharmacy practice, particularly in outpatient dispensing. Looking ahead, her professional goal is to pursue doctoral studies in pharmacogenomics, aiming to advance both teaching and research excellence at the School of Pharmacy to an international level.
