The School of Pharmacy, Walailak University, warmly welcomed a delegation from Kunming Medical University, China, and expressed its readiness to establish academic collaboration.

On Thursday, 29th May 2025, the School of Pharmacy, Walailak University (WU), had the great honour of welcoming the Dean and professors from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kunming Medical University (KMU), China.  During the meeting, Assistant Professor Dr. Suriyon Oui-trakul stated that the executive teams from both universities discussed the potential for developing joint research proposals for external funding applications. Furthermore, the discussion included the possibility of establishing a short-term exchange program for academic staff and students from the School of Pharmacy, WU, as well as the development of an international internship program for sixth-year pharmacy students.

Following the meeting, the delegates from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, KMU, were given a campus tour of Walailak University and later joined a welcome dinner. In response, the Dean of KMU extended an invitation to the School of Pharmacy, WU, to visit Kunming Medical University and gain insights into the Chinese pharmacy education system. This reciprocal exchange aims to foster a long-term and sustainable academic collaboration between the two institutions soon.
