Welcome staff and pharmacy students from the University of San Carlos, Philippines in the WU – USC student exchange program in 2024.

On 4th March 2024, Asst.Prof.Dr. Apichart Atipairin, Acting Dean of the School of Pharmacy, School’s administrators, staff, and representative students warmly welcomed the delegates from the University of San Carlos (USC), including Miss Lorraine V. Tagle and Miss Mary Joyce P. Rivera,  Assistant Instructors from the Department of Pharmacy, School of Healthcare Professions, University of San Carlos, along with one graduate student, Mr. Glenn Joseph U. Ecoy, and four undergraduate students, Miss June Antonette Judaya, Miss Audrey Therese Valles, Miss Ericka Elaine Diputado, and Mr. Rois Roel Patalinghug.

On this occasion, Asst.Prof.Dr. Namfa Sermkaew, Head of the Research Institute of the School of Pharmacy gave information on research expertise and direction of the School of Pharmacy and introduced the Graduated Program in Drug and Cosmetics Innovation. Asst.Prof.Dr. Pajaree Sakdiset, Assistant Dean for International Affairs, provided information about the background of the school and Pharmacy curriculum. The representative students described the student activities on campus and as the Pharmacy Students Association. The last session was a round table discussion. In this session, Asst.Prof.Dr. Tida Sottiyotin presented an activity of a community-based pharmacy, in which the students survey the drug-related or health problems in the community and arrange the activity to solve the problem. Both USC and WU members discussed the teaching strategy and exchanged ideas to improve the teaching techniques to enhance the student’s learning in real-world situations.

Furthermore, Asst.Prof.Dr. Patnarin Supakorn, Director of the Center for International Affairs, Walailak University welcomed and met the USC delegates at Bun Jerd restaurant. The WU-USC Pharmacy Exchange Program hosted in Walailak University during 3-16 March 2024, incorporates various activities and experiences in Pharmacy Education and Professions.
