10th July 2023 (3.30 pm – 5.30 pm) Dean of the School of Pharmacy, Walailak University and her team negotiated for academic collaboration with the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Teknologi MARA or UiTM, Malaysia. UiTM is Malaysia’s leading institute of pharmacy with high facilities in all areas of Pharmacy Research and Pharmacy training in the hospital
In the meeting, UiTM suggested and preferred to do a matching about the staff between UiTM and the School of Pharmacy, WU (SPM) which have related in the research field to make the collaboration leading to publish the research work together. On this occasion, UiTM invited the staff from SPM to join and present the research results at the “IRNI Symposium” which is the international symposium on Pharmaceutical Sciences in the October of every year.
This meeting was the first meeting of UiTM and SPM. Asst.Prof.Dr.Aruna, the head office of the international affair of SPM said this event was successful and UiTM also offered to be the preceptor for the Pharmacy training for Pharmacy students, especially Pharmaceutical care of SPM in the near future. Recently, SPM planned to visit UiTM to making more collaboration and strengthen the research work in both institutes
