School of Pharmacy Hosts 2025 Strategic Planning Seminar Aiming to Enhance Graduate Quality and Organizational Excellence

The School of Pharmacy, Walailak University, organized a strategic planning workshop for the fiscal year 2025 during two separate sessions held on 15–16 May and 26–28 May 2025. The first session took place at the Associate Professor Dr. Sunipon Phummangura Room, Academic Building 9, Walailak University, while the second was conducted at The Bed Vacation Rajamangala Hotel, Songkhla Province.

The primary objective of the seminar was to review the school’s past performance and collaboratively formulate comprehensive development plans covering all strategic dimensions. These included graduate education, research, academic services, faculty development, and organizational support systems. The event brought together administrators, faculty members, and staff who actively engaged in meaningful dialogue and joint planning.

The seminar commenced with opening remarks by Associate Professor Dr. Sarawut Palipoth, Vice President of Walailak University, and Assistant Professor Dr. Chaweewan Klongsirivech, Acting Dean of the School of Pharmacy. They shared the university’s strategic direction and highlighted the desired attributes of WU graduates. A key highlight of the seminar was a dynamic “World Café” brainstorming activity, focusing on six critical themes. These included achieving a 100% pass rate in the pharmacy licensure examination, promoting student mental health, developing global graduate identity through international activities, and ensuring sustainable support for research and academic personnel.

In the second session, held from 26–28 May, faculty teams presented progress reports and proposed project plans for the fiscal year 2026. Each plan was carefully aligned with the university’s strategic framework and addressed feedback from recent academic quality assessments.

The seminar fostered a collegial and constructive atmosphere, exemplifying the spirit of unity and collaboration within the school. It marked a significant milestone in the School of Pharmacy’s ongoing journey toward becoming a leading academic institution, committed to producing high-quality graduates and contributing meaningfully to societal needs.
