School Members from the School of Pharmacy, WU Invited as Guest Speakers for a Training Workshop on Rational Antibiotic Use in Primary Care Units in Surat Thani Province

On May 20, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at Wangtai Hotel, Surat Thani Province, Assistant Professor  Kanruthai Sangkhano and Lecturer Pirawan Khunkit, both members from the School of Pharmacy, WU were invited to serve as guest speakers in a training workshop titled “Rational Use of Antibiotics in Primary Care Services”. The training was part of the Rational Drug Use (RDU) Promotion Program, organized by the Consumer Protection Unit, Social Medicine Division, Health Service Network, Mueang District, Surat Thani Province.

This workshop aimed to enhance knowledge and skills related to the rational use of antibiotics within the context of primary care services. The session included evidence-based lectures as well as scenario-based simulation training, enabling healthcare professionals to translate theoretical knowledge into practical application effectively.

The event supports the Ministry of Public Health’s policy to combat antimicrobial resistance and encourages healthcare providers to adopt appropriate medication practices, ensuring patient safety and promoting the well-being of the broader community.

Both guest speakers received highly positive feedback from participants for their comprehensive knowledge, clarity in instruction, and the practical relevance of the training format.
