Pharmacy Students Win First and Second Runner-Up Prizes at ISPE Thailand Hackathon 2025

Between June 13–15, 2025, six pharmacy students from the School of Pharmacy participated in the ISPE Thailand Hackathon 2025, held at the Ambassador Hotel, Bangkok. The event was organized by the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) Thailand Affiliate and featured 44 participants from various institutions across the country, who were grouped into a total of eight teams.

The participating students were:

  1. Mr. Phattarathorn Imsaard

  2. Mr. Supakorn Chuaykaew

  3. Mr. Athipat Wangboonkong

  4. Ms. Somrudee Chuthong

  5. Ms. Natnapat Khimmakthong

  6. Ms. Suwapat Pongwittayarak

The ISPE Hackathon is a prestigious competition designed to cultivate students’ competencies in pharmaceutical engineering, particularly in areas such as problem-solving, innovation, interdisciplinary teamwork, and pharmaceutical process development. Participants were challenged to develop practical solutions to real-world issues in the pharmaceutical industry under strict time constraints.

The outcome of the competition brought significant pride to the School of Pharmacy:

  • Ms. Natnapat Khimmakthong’s team won the First Prize and was selected to represent Thailand in the upcoming international round to be held in Singapore.

  • Mr. Supakorn Chuaykaew’s team received the Second Runner-Up Prize, further affirming the school’s strong presence in the national pharmaceutical arena.

This success reflects the high level of dedication, creativity, and professionalism demonstrated by the participating students. It also highlights the effectiveness of the school’s academic programs in preparing future pharmacists for interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation in pharmaceutical sciences and industry.
