Pharmacy Students Shine on National Stage: Sweeping Two Major Awards at PSAT HEALTHHACKS 2025

In a remarkable display of talent and entrepreneurial spirit, three Pharmacy students—Alicha Kueseng, Siripat Akkarasettung, and Afanee Moonsap—have secured two prestigious national awards at the PSAT HEALTHHACKS 2025.

Competing against more than 100 teams from across the nation, these rising stars proved that the next generation of pharmacists is ready to lead the charge in healthcare business innovation.

Bridging the Gap Between Science and Commerce
The competition, themed “Health Innovation to Commercialization,” was organized by the Pharmacy Student Federation of Thailand (PSAT) in collaboration with The Pharmacy Council of Thailand. Its primary mission is to catalyze tangible social change by empowering young innovators to transform healthcare concepts into viable commercial products.

The team’s success highlights a critical shift in pharmacy education—moving beyond clinical excellence to include business acumen and startup thinking.

Key Highlights of the Achievement:
National Excellence: Standing out among 100+ competing teams from Thailand’s top universities.

Dual Recognition: Securing two distinct awards that underscore both the technical brilliance and the market potential of their innovation.

Social Impact: Their project was recognized for its ability to address real-world health challenges with sustainable business models.

“This victory is not just a personal milestone for the students, but a testament to the evolving role of pharmacists as ‘Health-Preneurs’—innovators who can navigate both the laboratory and the boardroom,” said a representative from the organizing committee.

A Future-Forward Vision
By clinching these awards, Alicha, Siripat, and Afanee have set a high standard for their peers. Their journey from academic research to a prize-winning commercial model serves as a blueprint for how young Thai innovators can contribute to the global healthcare economy.

This achievement reaffirms that Thai pharmacy students are at the forefront of the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) economy, ready to drive the country toward a healthier and more innovative future.
