Hai-Tan-Fai Festival at Walailak University, 14 Feb 2020

Our school launched a street food booth to serve ‘Thai Style Churro’ in a big religious donation festival of Nakhon Si Thammarat.

The so-called Hai-Tan-Fai is one of the big traditional donation festivals of Nakhon Si Thammarat. The goal of the event in several past decades is to serve the Buddhist monks and novices freshly cooked food in the early morning of the winter season. This traditional and local festival continues until today’s time to encourage the new-generation people to help preserve our Thai virtuous culture.

This year, our school, led by Dr.Jiraporn Chinkulpitak, has joined this event, which is organized on campus. The street food booth has temporarily been set by our school to serve all participants, including monks and novices as well as WU staff and students, freshly-cooked Thai-style Churros.
