เมื่อวันจันทร์ที่ 24 มิถุนายน 2567 เวลา 10.30-12.00 น. ที่ผ่านมา ผศ.ดร.อภิชาต อธิไภริน คณบดีสำนักวิชาเภสัชศาสตร์ ผู้บริหารและคณาจารย์สำนักวิชาสำนักวิชาเภสัชศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยวลัยลักษณ์ ได้ร่วมต้อนรับคณะผู้บริหารจาก Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP) ประเทศเวียดนาม นำโดย Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thanh Tan รองอธิการบดี CTUMP โดยได้มีการกล่าวต้อนรับโดย ผศ.ดร.อภิชาต อธิไภริน รวมถึงคณาจารย์ของสำนักวิชานำเสนอเกี่ยวกับข้อมูลของสำนักวิชาเภสัชศาสตร์ หลักสูตรเภสัชศาสตรบัณฑิต หลักสูตรบัณฑิตศึกษา และงานวิจัยที่โดดเด่นของสำนักวิชาเภสัชศาสตร๋ มหาวิทยาลัยวลัยลักษณ์ จากนั้น Assoc. Prof. Do Chau Minh Vinh, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy ได้นำเสนอข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับมหาวิทยาลัย CTUMP หลักสูตรทางด้านเภสัชศาสตร์ทั้งระดับปริญญาตรีและบัณฑิตศึกษา รวมถึงกิจกรรมความร่วมมือกับต่างประเทศ
ทั้งนี้ ทางสำนักวิชาเภสัชศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยวลัยลักษณ์และ Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP) ได้มีการเจรจาความร่วมมือในการพัฒนา MOA ระหว่างสำนักวิชาเภสัชศาสตร์ เพื่อต่อยอดจาก MOU ระดับมหาวิทยาลัย และพูดคุยเรื่องการแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษา อาจารย์ ทั้งระยะสั้นและการฝึกงานเฉพาะทางด้านแภสัชศาสตร์ รวมถึงการร่วมวิจัยและการตีพิมพ์ในวารสารทางวิชาการร่วมกันต่อไป

Internship experience at the Division of Natural Products Chemistry, Institute of Natural Medicine, University of Toyama

My internship at the University of Toyama, focusing on the search for bioactive molecules with HIV-1 VPR inhibitory activity from bacteria sourced from Thailand, was an enriching and culturally diverse experience. The collaborative research environment at the university allowed me to delve into the complexities of microbiology while incorporating the unique characteristics of Thai bacteria. Throughout the internship, I actively engaged in groundbreaking research methodologies, honing my skills in molecular biology and microbiology.
Working on this international project not only broadened my scientific knowledge but also provided insights into the intricacies of global collaboration. The research methodologies tailored to Thai bacteria showcased the importance of understanding regional biodiversity in scientific investigations. Navigating the challenges inherent in this specific research context enhanced my problem-solving skills and adaptability. The guidance from professors and the camaraderie among fellow interns created a supportive community that contributed significantly to the overall success of the internship.
Discovering bioactive molecules with potential inhibitory activity against HIV-1 VPR was a highlight of the internship. The findings not only added to the scientific discourse but also emphasized the significance of considering geographical variations in microbial studies. Networking at the University of Toyama, enriched by diverse perspectives and cultural backgrounds, added a unique dimension to my professional growth. Building connections with researchers from different parts of the world expanded my horizons and deepened my appreciation for the global impact of scientific research.
As I reflect on this internship, I recognize its profound impact on my academic and professional journey. The knowledge gained and skills acquired are invaluable assets that I am eager to apply to future endeavors. I express my sincere gratitude to the University of Toyama for providing a platform for meaningful research and growth. This internship has undoubtedly been a pivotal chapter in my academic and scientific pursuits.
